NFL: Super Bowl Advertising: Five million dollars per commercial?

The Super Bowl is getting closer and closer: At the beginning of February it is so far (live with language selection on DAZN)! In addition to the game itself, there is also extensive discussion of the commercials in the run-up to and after the game – and the costs are apparently rising to astronomical heights.

According to Sports-Illustrated columnist Richard Deitsch, the commercials for the Super Bowl will cost an average of over five million dollars, according to Dan Lovinger, Vice President of Advertising Sales at NBC Sports. For 30 seconds of advertising time.

According to AdWeek, some companies that take over the five million dollars have already been identified. These include Bud Light, Budweiser, Coca-Cola, M&Ms, Hyundai, Pepsi and Avocados From Mexico.

Year after year, companies not only put a lot of money into their Super Bowl advertising, but also particularly creative ideas. Last year Rob Gronkowski and Jeffrey Tambor, for example, were allowed to promote Tide and Audi’s commercial was also remembered.

The Super Bowl pairing will be determined next Sunday. In the AFC Championship Game the New England Patriots receive the Jacksonville Jaguars, in the NFC Championship Game there is the duel of the Philadelphia Eagles against the Minnesota Vikings. Both Championship Games and the Super Bowl can be watched live on DAZN with either German or English commentary.
