Handball: Gummersbach gets Iranian national team player

Old champion VfL Gummersbach has signed Iranian international Pouya Norouzi for the next season 2018/19.

As VfL announced on Thursday, the 23-year-old playmaker will receive a two-year contract from the Swiss Champions League participant Kadetten Schaffhausen.

“Pouya has enormous individual abilities and is extremely strong in one against one. For a player in the centre back area, he has a very high defence quality, which will further improve our game,”said VfL Sports Director Christoph Schindler about the newcomer.
