NBA: Pop jokes about NBA fights:”Stupidest thing I’ve ever seen.”

In the NBA, there have been some hot situations lately, including a fight between the Clippers and Rockets, which has resulted in several locks. On Wednesday Spurs coach Gregg Popovich was asked about this.

After a reporter asked him what he had to say about the NBA fights, Popovich (via Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders) said:”Oh, you mean those typical NBA fights where it says,’ Let me through, and I’d kick his ass. This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Popovich imitated the players'”fighting position” and had to grin himself. However, he acknowledged that things had turned out differently:”The exception was this fight a few years ago, which spilled over into the stands. That was ugly.”

By this he meant the infamous “Malice at the Palace” in 2004, when Pacer’s players in Detroit had fought with a few fans and countless bans were imposed on them.
