Ski flying: Hayböck injured in a fall

Michael Hayböck does not compete for the second of four rounds after a crash after landing in the first round of the World Ski Flying Championships in Oberstdorf. The Austrian from Upper Austria injured his left elbow and, despite finishing 28th, he refrained from competing again.

This means that there are only three Austrians left for the continuation of the individual competition: Stefan Kraft is in fifth place after a 218 m flight, exactly seven points behind the Norwegian leader Daniel Andre Tande. After a 212-metre flight it leads in front of Richard Freitag (GER/228 m) and tour winner Kamil Stoch (POL/230).
