MLB: Baseballstar Halladay in case of aircraft crash under the influence of drugs

Former baseball star Roy Halladay, who died in a plane crash, was killed in the accident on 7 July. November 2017, apparently under the influence of drugs. According to the Tampa Bay Times, the autopsy report shows traces of morphine, amphetamines and sleeping pills in the corpse.

The former pitcher of the Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies from the North American professional league MLB was only 40 years old.

He was travelling alone with a single engine light aircraft of the ICON A5 when he crashed near New Port Richey/Florida into the Gulf of Mexico. He had just received his pilot’s license.

The cause of the crash could not yet be determined. According to an eyewitness account, the plane had climbed about 100 to 150 meters into the air when it fell into the water in a sudden descent.

The eight-time Allstar Halladay played at the MLB from 1998 to 2013 and won the Cy Young Award for the best thrower once in the American League and once in the National League. In 2010,”Doc” Halladay was ranked 20th. MLB player a so-called “Perfect Game” – no opponent player reached a base.
