Ski-jumping: Stefan Kraft scrapes past the podium

On Saturday, the Norwegian Daniel Andre Tande (NOR) became individual world champion in ski flying for the first time. The competition in Oberstdorf was decided after the third round, the fourth flight fell victim to the wind conditions. Tande won with 651.9 points 13.3 points ahead of Polish four-hill touring champion Kamil Stoch. The German Richard Freitag won the bronze medal.

Austria’s ski flying world record holder Stefan Kraft had to settle for fourth place, he was missing 19.2 points on bronze. The other two Austrians Clemens Aigner and Manuel Poppinger took 18th and 23rd place. The team competition on Sunday (16.00 hrs/live ORF one) concludes the title fights in the Allgäu.
