Winter sports: German one-two win in two – Friedrich vor Lochner

The German two-man bobsleigh also presented themselves in Olympic form at the World Cup finals at Königssee and celebrated the next victory.

Three weeks before the winter games in Pyeongchang, world champion Francesco Friedrich (Oberbärenburg) won the race on Saturday with his defender Thorsten Margis. 0.4 seconds separated him from Johannes Lochner (Stuttgart) with Christopher Weber and the Canadian Justin Kripps.

Nico Walther (Oberbärenburg) and Kevin Kuske took fourth place. Kripps made his first victory in the German home game in the two-man overall World Cup perfect. Last weekend in St. Gustavia. Moritz, the German two-man bobsled had occupied the entire podium.
