Handball-EM: Thanks to Schützenhilfe: Germany win against Spain in semi-final

Defending champion Germany has been assisted in the handball European Championship in Croatia and would safely enter the semi-finals with a win against Spain on Wednesday (20.30 hrs in the LIVETICKER). Macedonia was defeated by the Czech Republic on Tuesday with 24:25 (13:11) and caused cheers in the German camp.

In addition to the German Handball Federation’s selection, Denmark also benefited from the defeat of the Macedonians, who threw out a seven-metre penalty in the final second. Olympic champion Denmark was the first team to reach the final round.

European vice-champion Spain was defeated by Slovenia 26:31 (12:13) and missed the dress rehearsal for the duel with Germany.
