Handball European Championship: Janke returns to squad for showdown against Spain

Maximilian Janke returns to the German squad for the showdown against Spain at the European Handball Championships in Croatia on Wednesday (8.30 pm in LIVETICKER). This was confirmed by coach Christian Prokop on Tuesday.

Rear player Janke had to clear his place before the second main round match against Denmark (25:26) for left-winger Rune Dahmke. After the injury of Paul Drux (meniscus tear) the Leipziger Janke now gets a second chance.

In the new edition of the European Championship final of 2016, defending champions Germany will have to defeat the Spaniards on Wednesday in order to still have a chance of reaching the semi-finals.
