Cycling: World champion Sagan hands a bicycle to the Pope

Cycling world champion Peter Sagan visited Pope Francis in Rome and presented the head of the Catholic Church with a bicycle in yellow and white, the colours of the Pope.

Three times world champion Sagan, accompanied by his mother, visited the weekly audience of the Holy Father on St. Peter’s Square. On this occasion, the Slovakian also presented the Pope with a signed world champion’s jersey.

Sagan, who is driving for the German team Bora-hansgrohe, had become world champion for the third time in September and won the Green Jersey five times at the Tour de France.
