NFL: Brain concussion: Patriots fear Super Bowl for Gronkowski

The New England Patriots may have to live without star player Rob Gronkowski in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles. The NFL champion’s tight end suffered a concussion last weekend in the play-off semi-finals against the Jacksonville Jaguars (24:20). This was announced by the club on Wednesday in the injury report.

Gronkowski had been knocked down by opponent Barry Church at the end of the second quarter and couldn’t go on.

The 28-year-old won the title twice with the patriots. The 52nd. Super Bowl takes place in the night to 5. February (0.30 o’ clock live on DAZN) in Minneapolis.
