DEL: Augsburg hires US striker Samuels-Thomas

The Augsburg Panthers have responded to their personnel concerns by committing US attacker Jordan Samuels-Thomas until the end of the season. The 27-year-old last played for Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic, before that he was mainly active in the American underclass league AHL.

“Jordan is a physically strong forward with a sense of responsibility for defensive duties. Nevertheless, we are convinced that he can also bring his offensive skills to the DEL,”said head coach Mike Stewart.

The Panthers became active on the market after Trevor Parkes and Michael Davies had dropped out in the long run.
