Damian Lillard, head coach of the All-Star Game, has commented on Russell Westbrook’s comments. He had previously complained indirectly about the nomination of lady.
“I respect Russ very much,”said Lillard after his team’s recent victory over the Timberwolves,”so it was very disappointing to hear him say that.”
Russ had previously complained about the non-nomination of Paul Georges and questioned other participants:”I don’t know who else made it into the team, but there are four players from one team in there and people who are constantly complaining that they are snubs until they are nominated.” The last sentence was probably directly related to Lillard.
He replied:”He has often played our team against me and he knows what I have already achieved – not only this year, but in my entire career. It is therefore disappointing that he does not recognise this. But I know for myself that I’ve earned my place this year.”
That’s why, according to Lillard, it doesn’t really matter what Westbrook said.”His word isn’t law.”
