NBA: KD must pay fine after referee scolding

Kevin Durant of the Golden State Warriors is asked to pay after his public criticism of the referees. This was announced by the NBA on Thursday.

Durant is to pay $15,000 because after the game against New York Knicks on Tuesday, Durant publicly claimed that James Williams Referee was going after him all along the way. Durant had already collected his fourth injection this season.

On Wednesday, however, KD had already apologized for his comments and behavior, saying,”I looked at it again and I really acted like an asshole last night,”Durant said,”It wasn’t a foul in the end. That was not okay with me, and I deserve everything the NBA is gonna spend on it.”

The National Basketball Referees Association accepted Durant’s apology on Thursday via Twitter, but the current finals MVP is hoping for a personal reconciliation with Williams:”I’d like to apologize to James because it’s not my style.

As part of the All-Star Weekend, there will be a meeting between the players and the referees in order to improve the recently very heated relationship.
