NFL: 281 concussions: League reports negative record

The NFL has a negative record in the number of concussions. In the current season, there have been 281 such injuries, more than ever since the League began publishing data. For the first time, the NFL published figures for 2012/13.

The previous record high (275) came from the 2015/16 season. The preparation is taken into account and the courses are also included. Of the 281 concussions in 2017/18,225 were suffered in games and 56 in training.

However, only cases reported by clubs are included in the balance sheet. We are disappointed that the number of concussions has increased,”said Dr. Dr. Dr. Allen Sills, chief physician of the NFL:”It is a challenge for us. We have to work hard to get the number down.”

A study by Boston University had recently confirmed the dangers for footballers from repeated concussions. Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CET) was found in 96 percent of the brain tumors of deceased NFL players.
