NFL: Mark Nzeocha stays with the San Francisco 49ers

German NFL player Mark Nzeocha has extended his contract with the San Francisco 49ers. The linebacker from Ansbach was tied by the five-time Super Bowl Champion for the coming season.

Nzeocha was traded to California at the end of September by the Dallas Cowboys’ Practice Squad, who drafted him in the seventh round in 2015.

San Francisco had clearly missed the playoffs with a record of 6-10, but showed a strong improvement in the second half of the season. Nzeocha scored ten times and made four tackles in special teams throughout the season.
