BBL: Ulm continues on play-off course – Alba in command

Ratiopharm Ulm has apparently overcome its interim low and is once again on target for the play-off round.

At the 87:72 (38:39) against Science City Jena, the Swabians consolidated their place in the top eight with their second victory.

At the top of the standings, former series champion Alba Berlin defended his second place behind the divided leader Bayern Munich with a 91:71 (42:31) against the Central German BC.

The situation in the relegation struggle is becoming increasingly threatening for the MBC. The removal in Berlin was the sixth bankruptcy in a row for the Weißenfels team.

For Jena, who had shown tender play-off ambitions after three successes in four games before the guest appearance in Ulm, the defeat after a short break meant a harsh damper for the hopes for the participation in the final round.

Munich had already confirmed its current dominance in the league on Friday. The 80:74 at s. Oliver Würzburg was already the 14th year in a row. Bavarian victory in series.
