Handball: Thuringian HC wins German Champions League duel against Bietigheim

The women handball players of the Thuringian HC have won the German Champions League duel against champion SG BBM Bietigheim. The 5th. In the first matchday of the main round, the runners-up won 28-26 (12-8) against his national rivals. In the Group 2 table, however, the women from Erfurt are only fifth with two points after the first half of the season, while Bietigheim is the last with the same score.

Thuringia did not fall behind for the entire 60 minutes and celebrated their first victory after four defeats in a row. Fourth place in the group is necessary to reach the quarter-finals in the Champions League.

The best thrower was Iveta Luzomova, who led the THC to victory with ten goals.
