NFL: Barry Church punished for hit on Rob Gronkowski

The NFL fined Barry Church for his hard hit against Rob Gronkowski. The safety of the Jacksonville Jaguars must pay exactly $24,309 for their action from the AFC Championship Game.

Church was sanctioned during the game with a flag for excessive hardship. Gronkowski seemed to be visibly shaken after the hit and had to leave the field in order to go into investigations of the Concussion Protocols.

The New England Patriots’ Tight End didn’t return to the pitch and couldn’t train with his team until Friday. Nevertheless, the officials in Foxborough are optimistic that Gronk will be able to beat the Philadelphia Eagles in time for the Super Bowl LLII (Sun., 4. February from 23.45 o’ clock live on DAZN).
