Ski Alpin: Rebensburg second in Lenzerheide

Olympic champion Viktoria Rebensburg has just missed her fourth victory of the season at the giant slalom dress rehearsal for Pyeongchang. At the World Cup in Lenzerheide/Switzerland, the 28-year-old from Kreuth had to face two weeks before the Winter Games (9. till 25. February) in Pyeongchang only beat world champion Tessa Worley.

The French rider, who went into her second run as the leader immediately after Rebensburg, saved a lead of 0.07 seconds on the Germans to the finish line. Third place went to Slovenian meta Hrovat (1.45 seconds back).

“It was very close, but I am still very happy with the result”, said Rebensburg after a “wild ride” over the track “Beltrametti” on ARD. She is now looking confidently towards South Korea, she added,”it’s cool to know that I’m fast and in. The rest will come, but you need a little luck.”
