Ski jumping: ÖSV eagles suffer debacle in the Zakopane wind lottery

Especially in the first round, extremely variable wind conditions brought a surprise winner on Sunday in Zakopane.

Slovenian Anze Semenic, who was fifth after the first jump, celebrated his first World Cup victory ahead of German Andreas Wellinger (+ 3.6 points) and his Slovenian compatriot Peter Prevc (4.4).

The Austrians suffered a debacle, even though some of them were not favoured by the wind lottery. The best man was once again Stefan Kraft, who, thanks to a 137 m set from 22. still at 15. Space improved.

Manuel Poppinger, ninth placed after the first jump, dropped to 18th place. Michael Hayböck came back in second place and landed directly in front of Michael Hayböck.
