Snowboarder Ramona Hofmeister has set the next exclamation point at the Olympic dress rehearsal and just barely missed her third victory of the season in Bansko’s parallel giant slalom. The 21-year-old from Bischofswiesen had to admit defeat in Bulgaria only to Olympic champion Julia Dujmovits (Austria).

Like Hofmeister, Selina Jörg (Sonthofen) was the third to confirm that she had arrived on 24. February in Bokwang belongs to the medal candidates. On Friday Hofmeister in the semi-finals and Jörg (30) had failed in the final on Ledecka, but as third and second they also drove to the “Stockerl”.

Ledecka had won the past seven parallel giant slaloms in the World Cup and has been on the podium in all 13 races since February 2015 (eleven victories). Against Hofmeister, a fall in the upper part of the road was her downfall.

The competition was less successful from the point of view of the German men, none of whom could qualify for the knockout duels.
