Snowboard: Julia Dujmovits wins in Bansko, Prommegger third place

Julia Dujmovits won the World Cup parallel giant slalom of the snowboarders in Bansko on Sunday. The Olympic champion won the final against the German Ramona Theresia Hofmeister and secured her fourth World Cup victory, the first in almost three years.

Sabine Schöffmann crashed in the quarter-finals and suffered an ankle injury. The exact degree of injury of the Olympic starter was not known four weeks before the competition in Pyeongchang. In the men’s event, Andreas Prommegger finished third as the best Austrian.
