Olympics 2018: DEB: Reul canceled for games, Storm nominated Akdag following

Federal ice hockey coach Marco Sturm had to make changes in his squad and coaching staff before leaving for the Olympic Games. Sturm also had to give up on Tobias Abstreiter, who should have travelled to South Korea as assistant coach. Abstreiter recently took over the position of head coach at the Düsseldorf EC and is therefore no longer available for the Olympic tournament.

The German national team meets on the 3rd day. February to a short training camp in Füssen and will compete on 6 February. February in Kloten/Switzerland a final test match against Switzerland, leaving for South Korea on 7 February. February from Munich.

In Pyeongchang Germany will face Finland in the preliminary round (15. February), World Champion Sweden (16. February) and Norway (18. February).
