Ice Hockey: Another OP: DEG defender Conboy about to end his career

Defender Tim Conboy of the Düsseldorf EC in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) threatens the end of his career. The American, who has been injured almost since the start of the season, had to undergo knee surgery again on Tuesday. According to the Rhinelanders, a return to the ice is highly unlikely.

“Tim is a great sportsman and a great man. He has literally always put the bones out for us. Everyone is terribly sorry that his impressive career is coming to an end,”said DEG Managing Director Stefan Adam.

Conboy had moved from the ERC Ingolstadt to Düsseldorf in 2014.
