Handball: Playmaker Zarabec stays with THW Kiel

THW Kiel has extended the contract with its Slovenian director Miha Zarabec until 2019. The handball record champion made use of an option in the 26-year-old’s contract.

“Miha has proven what he is capable of, both with us and with the European Championship,” said coach Alfred Gislason:”It’s good that there is now clarity about his future at THW Kiel.

Prior to the current season, Zarabec had moved from his home country, RK Celje Pivovarna Lasko, to the fjord. At the European Championship he was the best throwers of the Slovenes at 25:25 in the group game against Germany with five goals.
