NBA: Drummond replaces Wall in All-Star Game

Andre Drummond was subsequently nominated as All Star. The center of the Detroit Pistons is moving forward for the injured John Wall and will play for the LeBron James team.

This was announced by the League in a statement. For Drummond, it’s his second invitation to the All-Star Game. The center represented the pistons as early as 2016. Drummond is currently leading the league with 15.1 rebounds per game and also has 14.7 points and a career high of 3.8 assists. Throughout the season he has already given more submissions than in the previous two seasons.

Drummond is moving up for John Wall from the Washington Wizards, who cannot play because of a knee injury. According to the rules of the league, the players who received the most votes from the coaches after the All Stars move up in case of an injury. That was Drummond in this case.

Due to the injury of Kevin Love from the Cleveland Cavaliers, the NBA will soon nominate another reservist. Possible candidates are Ben Simmons (Philadelphia 76ers), Kemba Walker (Charlotte Hornets) or Khris Middleton (Milwaukee Bucks).
