Very good news from Ryan Shazier. As the Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker on Instagram announced, he was discharged from hospital after almost two months on Wednesday. The 7th. In December, Shazier had seriously injured his spine.
In Week 13 against the Bengals Shazier had to go to hospital after a collision and was operated on the spine. His father explained in January that the feeling had returned to Shazier’s legs. However, there were still doubts whether Shazier would ever be able to walk again.
On Wednesday, the 25-year-old now posted a picture of himself and Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger – on his feet:”I want to let you know that I am now taking the next step in my healing process. Today is a big day for me because I’m officially discharged from the hospital,”Shazier wrote.”I’ll continue to work hard and find a way back.”
Prior to his injury, Shazier had been one of the top performers in the Steelers’ defence. Without him, the team lost in the first playoff round against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
