Curling: Ulrich Kapp becomes new national coach

The three-time European champion Ulrich Kapp will be the new head coach of the German Curling Federation.

The 46-year-old from Füssen, who has won five World Cup medals in his successful career, will succeed Thomas Lipps, who resigned in the summer of 2017, and will mainly be responsible for the female division.

“Especially the young German curling talents make me optimistic that the German curling team will be able to compete for medals again,”said Kapp. The qualification for the 9. The Olympic Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, which began on February 2, missed both men and women.
