DEL: Pietta and Müller leave the Krefeld Penguins

The Krefeld Penguins will have to live without the strikers Daniel Pietta, Marcel Müller and Mathias Trettenes.

The two German international players Pietta and Müller will be transferred to the second Swedish league at Leksands IF with immediate effect. This was announced by the Krefeld team on Friday after the 2:4 defeat of the Nuremberg Ice Tigers.

The Norwegian international player Trettenes, who is also participating in the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang/South Korea for his home country, will also be under contract with the Norwegian first division club and reigning champions Stavanger Oilers from Saturday. Against Nuremberg he was still successful as a goalscorer on Friday evening.

“The three players approached the Krefeld Penguins and asked for clearance. We awarded this award primarily in view of our international ambitions,”said Krefeld’s sports director Matthias Roos.
