NFL: Aaron Rogers challenges dismissal of Quarterbacks coach

Aaron Rodgers’ recovery seems to be progressing well. However, the former MVP is less fortunate about Green Bay Packers’ decision to dismiss quarterback coach Alex van Pelt. Rodgers explained this in a radio show.

“Rodgers told ESPN Radio’s Golic and Wingo,”My quarterbacks coach didn’t get to keep it,”said Rodgers, commenting on ESPN Radio’s Golic and Wingo. The packers in Van Pelt, offensive coordinator Edgar Bennett, defensive coordinator Dom Capers and defensive line coach Mike Trgovac, as well as others, have set their sights on a big turn-around in the coaches area.

There is a close connection between Quarterback and the Quarterbacks coach. It was really an interesting decision,”Rodgers continued. Van Pelt has been in office with the Packers since 2012 and as a quarterback coach since 2014.

Head coach Mike McCarthy explained Van Pelts’ departure as follows:”He wanted to exploit other possibilities. It was a personal contract decision that we agreed on in silence,”says McCarthy. Van Pelt has now joined the Cincinnati Bengals as a quarterback coach.
