NBA: Media: Job of Cavs-Coach Lue secure despite defeat against Rockets

Cleveland Cavaliers have won their twelfth defeat against Houston Rockets in the past 18 games. According to ESPN, head coach Tyronn Lue’s job is still safe. The weakness of the Cavs is particularly evident in games broadcast on national TV.

“We’re not gonna fire our head coach,”said an official of the Cavs to ESPN. The plan in Cleveland is different: even before the trade deadline on 08. February, the team wants to improve through trades.

At the halfway point in the game against the Rockets, Lue raged because of his team’s performance and described them as “soft, weak, not physically and tough enough”.

Isaiah Thomas was also frustrated after the defeat:”It was the next embarrassing defeat. Something has to change.”

The same goes for LeBron James, who was speechless:”To be honest, I don’t have the words” He linked the defeat to the broadcast on national TV:”They should take away all the games that run there. We’ve played badly and we always get our butts kicked when we’re on national TV.”

The Cavs lost all eight matches that were broadcast on national TV and had to admit defeat with an average difference of 18 points.
