Basketball: Basketball: Bayreuth in the quarter-finals of the Champions League

Basketball Bundesliga club medi Bayreuth has reached the last sixteen in the Champions League despite a defeat.

On the last main round matchday of the third most important club competition on an international level, coach Raoul Korner’s team lost 81:83 (40:33) to the Greek first division club AEK Athens. However, Bayreuth moved into the round of the best 16 as fourth in Group C. The top scorer for the guests was Gabe York with 18 points.

In the evening (8.30 p. m. live on DAZN) the MHP giants Ludwigsburg against Orlandina Basket, who have already qualified for the round of sixteen, will be playing in Group B. In addition, Telekom Baskets Bonn and EWE Baskets Oldenburg (both Thursday) are also represented in the competition.
