MLB: Todd Frazier moves from the Yankees to the New York Mets

Third Baseman Todd Frazier has signed a two-year contract with the New York Mets, changing sides at MLB. Most recently, the ex-player of the Cincinnati Reds was active for the New York Yankees.

Frazier will receive 17 million dollars over the next two years and has apparently opted for a longer term than the Yankees had rumored to offer him. The Yankees, on the other hand, are said to have only been interested in a one-year contract.

Frazier closes a gap at the Hot Corner for the Mets, who in 2017 started four players at this position in the infield. Frazier has hit 102 home runs over the past three years, including 27 last season in Cincinnati and New York.

The Yankees, on the other hand, are likely to launch their top-third base prospect Miguel Andujar or even top prospect Gleyber Torres, who is a trained shortstop, at the third base for the start of the season.
