For Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots, the trip to the Super Bowl was a double flop. While the Tight End was in Minneapolis with his crew, the 28-year-old’s house in Foxborough/Massachusetts was broken into. This was announced by the police authority on Tuesday.

“For him, it’s double bad luck after he lost with the patriots in the Super Bowl,”police chief William Baker said. According to the daily Boston Globe, the robbery reported to the authorities on Monday evening allegedly involved “several safes and possibly weapons” being stolen.

The police did not give a statement.

Gronkowski scored two touchdowns in Sunday’s 33-41 defeat of his patriots in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles.
