Golf: Romo makes his PGA Tour debut

Rackets instead of eggs: Former quarterback Tony Romo will make his debut on the professional golf tour next month. Romo, who ended his football career last year, will be taking part in the game from 22. till 25. March participated in a PGA tournament in the Dominican Republic. As U. S. media reported on Wednesday, he will receive a wildcard from the sponsor.

The 37-year-old is an enthusiastic golfer and has already made three unsuccessful attempts to qualify for the US Open,”As a professional athlete, you’ll never let go of the competition’s appeal,”Romo told Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

“Besides my family and football, golf is one of my greatest passions. Playing at a PGA tour event is a dream come true,”says the former playmaker of the Dallas Cowboys.

Romo had injured his back in the 2016/17 season and had to vacate his number one spot for Dak Prescott. In April 2017, after 13 years in the NFL, he broke up.
