NBA: Knicks shock: Porzingis suffers cruciate ligament rupture

Bad news from the New York Knicks: Kristaps Porzingis broke his cruciate ligament in the game against Milwaukee Bucks.

This was confirmed by the franchise on Wednesday. Porzingis was injured in the defeat against the Bucks when he fell to the ground in the second quarter after dark. He was promptly examined in the hospital and the anterior cruciate ligament rupture was diagnosed via MRI.

This means that he will be at least out for the rest of the season, in which he has hung up 22.9 points and 2.4 blocks to date.
