NFL: Media: Garoppolo wins record contract

Jimmy Garoppolo stays with the San Francisco 49ers. According to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, the quarterback receives a five-year contract for 137.5 million dollars.

Garoppolo, who would have become a Free Agent in mid-March, gets the fattest contract in NFL history if you take the average salary per year.

The 26-year-old had only arrived in San Francisco in October 2017 from the New England Patriots. Tom Brady’s previous backup led his team as a starter to more points per game (28.3) than any other quarterback in the past 25 years.
