Olympics 2018: Survey: Only seven percent believe in clean games

The majority of Germans have lost faith in the clean Olympic sport. In a representative WELT Emnid survey, only seven percent of the respondents assume that the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang will take place without doping.

48 percent expect that, at least to a lesser extent, illicit means will continue to be used. Around one third (34 percent) even fears that a large number of doping cases will occur. Nevertheless, a majority (65%) of those surveyed are in favour of the Olympic Games in Germany, and 30% are against.

The survey was conducted with the opinion of about 1000 people.
