NBA: Next green punishment: Kerr demands professionalism

Head coach Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors demands a calmer attitude of his team towards the referees. Draymond Green was recently fined by the League.

Green had flown out of the field two days ago during the game against OKC Thunder with two technical fouls after he hit the game’s referees hard. He was fined $50,000 by the League for this.

With 35 technicals committed by players and nine ejections, the champion leads the league in this respect. That’s why Kerr said:”We all have to shut something down. Of course, I am not innocent either. I don’t like it when you complain all the time.”

We should stop dealing with the references,”said Kerr, who explicitly did not exclude himself from criticism. We should do our job and concentrate on playing,”Kerr continued.

General Bob Myers takes a more relaxed view of all this:”We need such ambitious people. I like Green and Kerr for their will to win every game. That’s what we need. At the same time, however, the question arises of course as to how we can take this outward appropriately. But I can understand when emotions sometimes overboil.”
