Ice hockey international Tom Kühnhackl will miss NHL champion Pittsburgh Penguins for some time injured. His status is being reassessed week after week,”said Penguins coach Mike Sullivan.
Kühnhackl had suffered an untitled lower body bust in the first period of the 5:4 against the Vegas Golden Knights. The defending champion put him on the list of injured players, where he must stay for at least seven days.
After a difficult start to the season, Kühnhackl had gained momentum. As a reward for his accomplishments, coach Sullivan had challenged him against Las Vegas alongside superstar Yevgeny Malkin, saying,”There’s more offensive talent slumbering in him than the numbers tell us,”Sullivan said,”we’re trying to expose it because we think there’s another level to his game.”
The son of Erich Kühnhackl’s son has scored two goals in 50 seasonal matches so far and prepared six more. In 2016 and 2017, the Landshuter won the Stanley Cup with the Penguins. For Kühnhackl, a total of 184 games (main round and play-offs) with 14 goals and 32 assists have been recorded in the past three NHL years.
