Olympia 2018: Flag bearer Frenzel:”Will remember me for a lifetime.”

Germany’s flag bearer Eric Frenzel was positively moved by the opening ceremony of the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang,”This was a great experience. I will remember this for the rest of my life,”said the combiner when he returned to warmth from the cold interior of the Olympic Stadium.

“It was also nice behind the scenes to wait with the many other athletes from all disciplines for the start of the celebration. It was impressive to be the first to run into the stadium with the thousands of coloured lights,”said Frenzel. The German team with Frenzel at the top was in ninth place.

“The atmosphere in the German team was already cheerful, full of expectation and fun during the warm-up. The anticipation was palpable, everyone felt it:”Here we go,” DOSB President Alfons Hörmann told SID:”The moment of the unification of South and North Korea has shown what is possible when bridges are built and mental boundaries are overcome.
