NBA: Jazz dismiss Derrick Rose – Do the Wizards strike?

The Utah Jazz released Derrick Rose. This was announced by the team. The Point Guard came to Salt Lake City through a three-team trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Sacramento Kings.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski (ESPN) sources, the Washington Wizards are among the candidates who could now commit the former MVP. Also the Minnesota Timberwolves with Rose’s ex-coach Tom Thibodeau is said to be interested.

In Washington, Rose could close the gap on the one as John Wall has a few weeks of rehabilitation after his knee surgery. Even if Wall came back, there would still be a backup role for Rose.

Rose started the season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but due to another injury he played only 16 games, where he played 9.8 points and 1.6 assists. The Cavs traded Rose on Thursday for the Trade Deadline to Utah Jazz. Rose did not play a single game for the team from Mormon State.
