Olympia 2018: Tobogganing: Hole missed third individual gold at Olympia – Bronze for Ludwig

Felix Loch has sensationally missed his third individual gold medal at the Olympic Winter Games in a row.

The 28-year-old from Berchtesgaden lost his lead at the Olympic Sliding Center in Pyeongchang after a serious defeat in the last run and finished fifth in the victory of the Austrian David Gleirscher (Austria). Johannes Ludwig (Oberhof) won bronze behind second-placed Chris Mazdzer (USA). Experienced Andi Langenhan (Zella-Mehlis) finished his last winter games in tenth place.

Hole had won 2010 and 2014 in the singles and 2014 with the newly introduced team relay. Hackl won gold in Albertville, Lillehammer and Nagano in 1992,1994 and 1998, silver in Calgary in 1988 and in Salt Lake City in 2002. Hackl continues to be the most successful luge athlete in Olympic history.
