Olympia 2018: Tobogganing: Ludwig starts for German team relay

After winning the bronze medal at the winter games in Pyeongchang, tobogganist Johannes Ludwig will also compete in the team relay on Thursday for Germany. This was confirmed by national coach Norbert Loch late Sunday evening. His son Felix Loch’s son, Felix Loch, had awarded the victory in the last race of the men’s race with a gross mistake and had only finished fifth.

“Then it’s quite normal for Johannes to drive, the best one qualifies for the team relay with us,” said Felix Loch:”I’m happy for him that he will hopefully be able to drive home with two medals now.

The other participants of the relay will be determined after the women’s race and the doubles competition. Olympic gold medallist Natalie Geisenberger, world champion Tatjana Huefner and Dajana Eitberger will compete for Germany in the women’s event, with Olympic gold medallist Tobias Wendl/Tobias Arlt and world champion Toni Eggert/Sascha Benecken in the doubles event.
