Olympia 2018: Gold medal for Canada’s figure skaters in the team

Canada’s figure skating team has already won the gold medal in the Olympic team competition in Pyeongchang before the final ice-skating freestyle competition.

After the victory of the former World Champion Patrick Chan in the men’s freestyle competition, Gabrielle Daleman took third place in the women’s freestyle competition. With 63 points, the Canadians can’t be pushed out of first place before the last free skating round.

At the Olympic premiere of the 2014 team competition in Sochi, Canada finished second behind Russia and ahead of the USA. In Pyeongchang, the Canadians dominated both the short program and the freestyle.

The team of the German Ice-skating Union finished seventh out of ten teams on Sunday, missing the qualification for the finals of the top five teams.
