NHL: Edmonton loses despite Draisaitl goal – success for Rieder

Despite a goal from young star Leon Draisaitl (22), the Edmonton Oilers have won their next defeat and are losing sight of the play-offs in the NHL. The Canadians lost 5:7 to the Florida Panthers on Monday (local time) with 5:7, two days before the five-time Stanley Cup winner had already lost at the San Jose Sharks.

Draisaitl had been in the 23. Minute per Penalty 16. Season’s goal. With 50 points from 55 games, Edmonton is still 16 points behind a wildcard ticket in the West.

Tobias Rieder (25) had a better time: The striker from the Arizona Coyotes league’s final spot scored a goal (30th) to win 6-1 against the Chicago Blackhawks, and it was the seventh goal of the season for Rieder. Despite the victory, Arizona remains the worst team in the NHL.
