Olympia 2018: Biathlon: Dahlmeier with bronze medal in singles – Gold for Öberg

Double Olympic champion Laura Dahlmeier won her next medal at the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang.

The 24-year-old Partenkirchnerin, who had triumphed in South Korea in the sprint and in the pursuit, scored a minute’s penalty in the biathlon singles over 15 km at the shooting range and won a bronze medal in the surprise victory of the Swede Hanna Öberg. Franziska Preuß (Haag/0 penalty minutes) finished fourth after a strong performance.

The Slovakian Anastasiya Kuzmina (2) won the silver medal behind the faultless Öberg, whose best career positions so far have been fifth places in the pursuers of Pyeongchang and in the World Cup.
