Olympia 2018: Gregor Schlierenzauer not nominated for large hill

Gregor Schlierenzauer will miss jumping from the big hill at the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang. The Tyrolean World Cup record winner lost his internal qualification on Thursday. This was announced by ÖSV-Cheftrainer Heinz Kuttin.

Stefan Kraft was a regular starter for the qualification on Friday and the individual competition on Saturday (each 13.30 CET). Michael Hayböck, Manuel Fettner and Clemens Aigner are also present.

“We had the same procedure as on the small hill. Hayböck, Fettner, Aigner and Schlierenzauer jump three places, one of them falls out. This is Gregor Schlierenzauer,”explained Kuttin. The 28-year-old team Olympic champion of Vancouver 2010 was unfortunately not as good as yesterday in the second “training”. Aigner has improved, he was three times better today,”the head coach explained the decision.
