Golf: Woods on midfield comeback tour – Kaymer moderate

Golf superstar Tiger Woods is in midfield on his comeback tour to kick off the US tournament at Pacific Palisades in California.

In his second tour tournament after a break of almost one year, the 14-time Major winner stayed one stroke above par with a score of 72. Germany’s top golfer Martin Kaymer (Mettmann) needed one more shot, who had to fear for the cut.

Shortly before the end of the last lap, Woods was six shots behind US leaders Patrick Cantlay and Tony Finau (both 66).
